A search on Google says that a lot of tourists and travelers to the city look for budget hotels in Bhubaneswar. While TripAdvisor is a nice place to find the reviews of various hotel customers, we still thought we needed to come up with our very own Bhubaneswar budget hotel reviews to help tourists looking for budget hotels within a specific price range. Blame it on the soaring real estate prices of the city, finding budget hotels in Bhubaneswar is often a daunting task. Last month, one of our community members wrote to us expressing his concerns about the lack of information on the budget hotels in the city. While the definition of a budget hotel is subject to personal interpretation, many tourists look for budget hotels at lower cost with standard adherence to hygiene, services and safety. So, we decided to put together a list of five hotels based on the following criteria:

Research Methodology
We prepared the list of hotels by visiting various online travel portals and reading reviews and ratings of the customers who have shared their experience at the hotels. We also took into account the findablity i.e., level of online presence of the hotels in terms of doing a Google search. Other vital factors such as online hotel booking facilities have also been considered to decide the final list.

#1 – Hotel Upasana
This hotel is located in the Old Station area, this hotel on Cuttack Puri Road is just about 3 kilometers away from the airport. Guests can choose to stay in any of the 20 well-furnished rooms equipped with a satellite television. Indian and international cuisines can be ordered through room service, which is available between 7a.m and 10p.m. Other guest amenities include: taxi service, doctor-on-call, guide service, laundry and housekeeping, and parking.

Conveniently located from both Railway station and Airport. The hotel is fairly popular and close to many popular temples in the city. It’s also close to many electronics shops in Bapuji Nagar.

The hotel is at walk-able distance from Odisha Secretariat and Odisha Vidhan Sabha. All other Government offices are within a radius of 2 km from the Hotel Venus Inn, Shopping malls and market places are within close reach. It is very conveniently located to reach Railway station, Bus stand as well as Airport.

As per their website, the hotel Kharavela is a unit of Shikha Resorts Pvt. Ltd. Located in the city’s greenest precinct, it is within walking distance of the Khandagiri hills.
