Shopping Malls in The Twin City – A Reality Check

Organized shopping is not a new thing for Bhubaneswar, since the day of its inception the market building been the epic center of shopping in Bhubaneswar. In 2004 when the forum mart opened up in Bhubaneswar and it redefined the way of shopping here. Since then many malls have come up in the city. But still when we see the standard of Malls in other cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad etc we may feel that malls in the twin city are inferior and may give a feeling like ,  are malls in the twin city can really be called  malls? None of the malls in the twin city can boast of having multiplex inside it. While some of them lack features such as gaming house and pub. Before we reveal what lies in the future let’s take a look at the existing one.>

Some additional details, and a few corrections:

    1. Forum Mart is 2lakh rather than 2.5lakh square feet. You can check forumprojects.in to confirm. Forum Mart is also the first mall in India in what was a Tier III city. You could say it was atleast 4-5 years before time.

    2. The 6lakh Sq feet of Bhawani Mall, is actually the complete construction area, which includes the residential buildings too.

Also, are you sure Forum Safari Mall construction has begun. It would be helpful, if you mark up a point in wikimapia or google maps or both for its actual location as the website offers only co-ordinates.
