{"id":1113,"date":"2014-12-17T08:51:03","date_gmt":"2014-12-17T03:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mybhubaneswar.com\/?p=1113"},"modified":"2021-12-07T19:11:47","modified_gmt":"2021-12-07T13:41:47","slug":"26-utilities-come-purview-public-services-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/discoverbbsr.com\/26-utilities-come-purview-public-services-act\/","title":{"rendered":"26 Utilities Come Under Purview of Public Services Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">The State Government has decided to include 26 services of three departments in the <a href=\"http:\/\/ortpsa.in\/services.php\">Odisha Right To Public Services (ORPSA) Act<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Act includes 63 services of 10 departments. After the latest inclusions, the number of services offered under the Act has increased to 89.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Among the new additions, 15 services are in the Housing and Urban Development department, eight from the Higher Education department and three from the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development department.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><strong>What Does This Mean?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">The ORPSA guarantees time-bound delivery of services rendered by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Right_to_Public_Services_legislation\" rel=\"nofollow\">the Government to citizens under different departments.<\/a> It also provides a mechanism for punishing the Government officials who fail to provide the services stipulated under the Act.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>15 New Services under the Urban Development Department<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing certified copy of building plan within 7 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Community hall booking within 2 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Land usage and related information within 3 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing conveyance deed, no dues certificate, permission of mortgage, property transfer sale deed and holding tax assessment within 30 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Ownership transfer of land or house within 60 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Complaints related to garbage cleaning within 3 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Repair and replacement of street lights within 10 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Road cutting permission in 7 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Road restoration permission within 15 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing birth and death certificates within 7 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Sewage overflow, blockage and minor leakage maintenance within 48 hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>8 New Services under the Higher Education Department<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing certificates of CHSE managed higher secondary or similar examinations, certificate-cum-memorandum of marks\/course leaving certificate in correspondence course and provisional certificate\/mark sheets of universities within 7 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">College leaving certificate within three days, migration certificate within 30 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Authentication of original certificate within 2-7 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Disposal of memorandum with regard to block grant\/ grant-in-aid within 15 to 30 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing no-objection certificate for passport, foreign tour and higher study within seven to 15 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>3 New Services under the Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing registration certificate for fishing licence and renewal of fishing licence within 15 days<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Issuing\u00a0 animal health certificate within 5-7 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Sources:<\/strong> The New India Express<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>26 more services have been brought under the purview of Odisha Right to Public Services Act.
