Class XI student of Delhi Public School Kalinga, K Anshuman, has stood first in the international ranking of 15th National Cyber Olympiad 2015-16, organised by the Science Olympiad Foundation
“I didn’t expect that I will come first in the international ranking. I had not prepared especially for the examination,” said Anshuman, a state topper in national Olympiads of science, maths and English. The exam tests mental ability and knowledge in computers.
Anshuman will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a gold medal and a merit certificate by the foundation. “I want to become a scientist,” he said. He is also a National Talent Search Exam scholarship holder and cleared first round of Kishore Vaigyanik Protshahan Yojana.
“Anshuman is a brilliant student and has brought many accolades to the school and the state. His achievement is a feather in the cap of DPS Kalinga,” said head of the school’s computer science department, Mustaque Ahmad.
